Amani is a Senior Software Engineer in the WSO2 Cloud team. She has worked with customers such as UCSD and Sapura on integrations and with Boeing on Cloud. She has also been a speaker in WSO2Con Asia 2011 and in the WSO2: PaaS Workshop in São Paulo, Brazil. She holds a First Class Honors Degree in Software Engineering from the Informatics Institute of Technology, Sri Lanka which is affiliated to the University of Westminster, UK. Amani’s final year dissertation for her degree was a project called ChordATune which is an emotion based melody harmonizer for piano music. ChordATune was awarded several awards in many local and international competitions such as NBQSA and APICTA.
Amila is a Software Engineer in the API Manager team at WSO2. He has participated in many Dev Services and QSP’s including with clients such as Dialog and StubHub. Prior to joining WSO2, he worked at Creative Search Technologies as a Software Engineer in Test, where he contributed to developing the Search Platform for Sharepoint.
Amila is a Senior Technical Lead who leads the Cloud team at WSO2. In addition to his development efforts, Amila also has provided technology consulting on customer engagements including customer QuickStart programs.Prior to joining WSO2, Amila was involved in developing value added services for mobile operators and specialized in Java at this time. Amila is also an active contributor to the Apache Synapse project of the Apache Software Foundation.
Anjana is a technical lead and focuses on the development of the WSO2 Data Services Server. He has carried out several onsite customer engagements, primarily focused on integration enabled by the WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus.
He is a contributor to Apache Axis2, and participated in the Google Summer of Code 2006 where we worked on the Apache Mirae project in implementing a multimedia messaging service transport. He also has experience in mobile computing, service-oriented architecture for the European Union’s Information Society Technologies, and Java enterprise Web development.
Asanka focuses on the company’s vertical market capabilities, including financial services. Additionally, he provides consulting and conducts regular training sessions and workshops for enterprise IT architects and developers.
He has more than 10 years of industry experience implementing projects that range from desktop and Web applications through to highly scalable distributed systems and service-oriented architectures in the financial domain, mobile platforms, and business integration solutions.
Chamith, who is also Manager of Infrastructure, currently oversees WSO2’s overall system and network operations.
He has over five years of experience in systems and network administration. He was an original author of the Texplorer Project http://texplorer.sourceforge.net and has interests in platform and infrastructure virtualization, distributed computing, IT security, load balancing, cloud monitoring and backup systems.

Chandika leads Engineering Excellence and Innovation for Virtusa and is responsible for global engineering standards, metrics and tools as well as driving a technology innovation culture. Chandika carries over 15 years of experience in IT and provides leadership to the teams that have created key productivity accelerators and differentiators for Virtusa. Prior to Virtusa, he was the Chief Software Architect for a global IT consulting organization, playing an instrumental role in setting up and leading their San Francisco office.
He has a first class honors degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and an MSc in Parallel Computers and Computation from the University of Warwick, UK. In 2013, he was the recipient of two Achiever Awards from the Department of Computer Science, University of Moratuwa, for Outstanding Contribution to the ICT industry, and for the Business Innovation of the year.
Dakshitha is an Associate Technical Lead in the Solutions Architecture/Technical Sales team. She has hands on experience in Java/J2EE technologies and has worked on designing and implementing software solutions in the fields of health-care information systems and content management systems for telecommunications providers prior to her employment at WSO2. Prior to joining the Solutions Architecture/Technical Sales team she worked with the WSO2 Developer Studio team.
Dimuthu focuses on cloud technologies, the WSO2 Carbon Framework, and WSO2 Identity Server at WSO2. She is an expert in Java and Java-related technologies, and was an initial team member of the Axis-Mora project, in which she oversaw the de-serialization process of the project. She is an Apache committer and a member of the Axis2 Project Management Committee; she has also contributed to the Apache Rampart and WSS4J projects.
In addition, Dimuthu has conducted several WSO2 technical webinars and has published numerous technical articles and tutorials.
Dr. Wijayasuriya is the Group Chief Executive of Dialog Axiata PLC Sri Lanka and also functions as the Chief Executive of Axiata Digital Services – the group wide Digital Services Business of the Axiata Group – Asia’s second largest telecommunications group with principal and affiliate operations in Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Cambodia, India and Singapore.
Dialog Axiata PLC, is one of the largest market capitalized companies on the Colombo Stock Exchange and operates Sri Lanka’s leading mobile phone network. Dialog is also a leading provider of Fixed Line, Broadband, Digital Television and International Telecommunication Services.
Dr. Wijayasuriya graduated from the University of Cambridge UK in 1989. He subsequently obtained his PhD in Digital Mobile Communications from the University of Bristol UK in 1994. A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Engineering Technology UK, Dr. Wijayasuriya also holds an MBA from the University of Warwick UK.
Dr. Wijayasuriya has published widely on the subject of digital mobile communications, including research papers in publications of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) USA, Royal Society and the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) UK. He has also presented papers at several International conferences on digital mobile communications.
Dr. Wijayasuriya is a past Chairman of GSM Asia Pacific – the regional interest group of the GSM Association representing 22 Asia Pacific member countries, and serves on the Board of the TM Forum. He is also a recipient of the CIMA-Janashakthi Business Leader of the Year Award, and in 2008, was named the ‘Sri Lankan of the Year’ by Sri Lanka’s premier business journal the LMD.
Dushan Abeyruwan is an Associate Technical Lead who focuses on WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). In addition to his WSO2 product development efforts, Dushan contributes to the Apache Synapse open source ESB project. Dushan also has provided WSO2 QuickStart Program consulting services to assist customers in using WSO2 ESB to implement enterprise integration patterns that support their business requirements. Dushan is a Sun-Certified Java programmer with more than five years of experience in the IT industry where he focused on developing enterprise applications using the latest Java J2EE technologies. He has also conducted a few WSO2 Seminars and written articles related to the WSO2 ESB.
Gihan is a Senior Software Engineer at WSO2. He has more than four years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies and has worked on designing and implementing both web-based and standalone software solutions in the fields of telecommunications, on-line retailing systems, and content management systems.
Kasun is a Software Engineer at WSO2 in the mobile development team. He has been involved in the EMM platform development as well as customer engagements related to Mobile EMM integration. He has also been a speaker for Mobile Technologies at the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka.
Kasun is a Software Engineer who is currently a part of the WSO2 Application Server team. He focuses on development and integration of features of the WSO2 Carbon middleware stack with Tomcat based web applications. He is a key founding member of the Siddhi Complex Event Processing Engine which is now shipped with WSO2 CEP server. An Open Source advocate, he has helped to raise awareness of Open Source in Sri Lanka and has mentored university students. He is an active committer of DocBook project, and Gentoo Linux.
Kasun focuses on the WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus. In addition to his product development efforts, he has provided technology consulting on customer engagements, helping to successfully implement solutions for integrating Web services, SAP, FIX, and mobile services.
He is an elected member of the Apache Software Foundation and a Project Management Committee member and committer for the Apache Synapse open source ESB project. He took part in the Google Summer of Code for 2007, working on the Apache Axis2/C project. He also contributed to the Apache Rampart/C project, having implemented WS-Trust specification for its federated identity framework for Web services. He is proficient in C/C++, specializing in Web services, information retrieval systems, and enterprise search platforms, focusing primarily on indexing components.
Krishantha is a Senior Technical Lead at WSO2 who focuses on the development of WSO2 Test Automation Framework. In addition to his framework development efforts at WSO2, he also focus on product test automation to achieve greater coverage. He has hands on experience with open source test automation tools and unit testing frameworks. He has carried out several onsite customer engagements as a consultant. He specializes in various SOA technologies, test automation tools and testing methodologies. He has developed test automation tools and is also familiar with various scripting languages including Python, Ruby and Perl. He is also conversant in configuring and administrating multiple web application server and database systems.
Lakmal works with the Cloud Technology team, focusing on the WSO2 Stratos platform as a service.
He has more than 11 years of industry experience. In 2005, Lakmal co-founded thinkCube, the pioneers in developing the next generation of collaborative cloud computing products that are tailored towards telecom operators. He oversaw the overall engineering process and focused special attention to scalability and service delivery of thinkCube solutions.
Lakmali is a Software Engineer who currently works in WSO2 API Manager Product. Lakmali is interested in learning and working with SOA technologies and solutions.
Nirmal is a Senior Software Engineer at WSO2 and is passionate about researching and striving for excellence. His areas of interest include Cloud Computing, Elastic Scaling and Data Science and he has contributed to the evolutionary PaaS Framework and Apache Stratos (Incubator) where he was elected as a PPMC Member and a Committer. Apache Tuscany, Apache jClouds and Apache Synapse are some of the other ASF projects that he is actively involved in. He has also participated in Google Summer of Code twice.
Prabath focuses on application security and identity management. In addition to his product development efforts, he has provided technology consulting on customer engagements.
He is an Apache Project Management Committee member involved in the Apache Rampart and Axis projects. He also has more than three years of industry experience in Microsoft .NET technologies.
Rana Peries is the Head of Innovation and Digital Financial Services Technology for Commonwealth Bank’s Asian business. Commonwealth Bank is Australia’s leading provider of integrated financial services and the most recognised brand in the Australian financial services industry.
Rana is responsible for leading the technology innovation and platform strategies that enable customer acquisition and new business models.
Rana has extensive experience in technology strategy and innovation in banking and financial services and has held roles such as Head of Enterprise Architecture and Chief Information Officer (CIO) within major Australian and international banks.
Ranga is a Senior Software Engineer at WSO2 and is a part of the App Factory team where he plays the role of a developer. In addition to his product development efforts, he has provided technology consulting in various customer engagements, including customer QuickStart programs. He is an active contributor to the Apache Axis2 and Apache Synapse projects.
Sagara is a Senior Technical Lead who focuses on the WSO2 Application Server. Sagara specializes in J2EE, Spring, Web Service and enterprise integration related technologies. In addition to his product development efforts at WSO2 he is also a PMC member of Apache Axis and Apache Web Services Projects and is an active contributor to the Apache Axis2, Woden, Web services and Nuvem projects. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Apache Web Services project.
Sanjaya is an Associate Technical Lead in the Cloud team at WSO2. Prior to joining the Cloud team he worked in the Apache Axis2/C project. He is a committer and a Project Management Committee member of Apache Axis2/C project. His experience spans from developing software for more accurate density functional theory calculations to Sinhala text to speech translators. At the Institute of Fundamental Studies, Sanjaya worked on computational mathematics and physics for four years.
Sanjiva has been involved with open source for many years and is an active member of the Apache Software Foundation. He was the original creator of Apache SOAP and has been part of Apache Axis, Apache Axis2 and most Apache Web services projects. He founded WSO2 after having spent nearly 8 years in IBM Research, where he was one of the founders of the Web services platform. During that time, he co-authored many Web services specifications including WSDL, BPEL4WS, WS-Addressing, WS-RF and WS-Eventing.
Senaka focuses on the WSO2 Governance Registry and WSO2 Cloud Services Gateway. In addition to his product development efforts, he has provided technology consulting on customer engagements, helping to successfully implement governance, enterprise application integration, SAP integration, and on-premise portal solutions. He also founded the WSO2 Web Services Framework/C++ during his internship with WSO2 in 2008.
He is an elected member of the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) and also a Project Management Committee (PMC) member and committer for a number of projects, which currently include Apache Web Services, Axis2, and several Apache incubator projects. He is also a member of the OASIS S-RAMP, WEMI, and TOSCA technical committees. As a participant of the Google Summer of Code for both 2008 and 2009, he worked on the Apache Harmony and Ptolemy II projects at the University of California, Berkeley.
Shiro is currently working in the capacity of an Architect in the AppFactory product team. She has over 10 years of experience which includes a background in Telecommunication Billing Systems and Enterprise Search Systems. She holds a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and is currently pursuing an MPhil at the same university. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and a Master in Business Administration from University of Moratuwa.
Shammi is an Associate Technical Lead who is the product lead of the WSO2 Message Broker team. He has participated in QSP’s and SAP Integrations for WSO2. Ha has also conducted a webinar on the WSO2 Message Broker.
Shan specializes in mobile technology with over 10 years of experience in that field. He has a strong background in telecommunication software development and is a hardcore coder in Android and iOS platforms. He also lectures in advanced Android and iOS application development.
Prior to joining WSO2Mobile, he was working as the CTO/Director of Microimage Mobile Media for almost 15 years. He played a key role in engineering products where Microimage has won many local and international awards. He is also a Typographist and a specialist in local languages and font technologies. He worked as an external consultant to Microsoft, Sri Lanka and ICTA, Sri Lanka.
Srinath oversees the overall WSO2 platform architecture alongside WSO2 CTO Paul Fremantle. He specializes in Web services and distributed systems, specifically working with aspects of data, scale, and performance.
He is a co-founder of Apache Axis2, an elected member of the Apache Software Foundation, and a Project Management Committee member. He has been involved with the Apache Web Services project since 2002, and is a committer on several Apache open-source projects, including Apache Axis, Axis2, and Geronimo.
Sumedha focuses on development of the WSO2 Carbon Core, WSO2 Data Services, WSO2 Governance Registry, WSO2 Business Activity Monitor, and WSO2 API Manager. He has contributed to the successful implementation of data, SAP and repository-based integration projects, as well many WSO2 QuickStart development consulting engagements. He is an active committer with the Apache Axis2 project.
Suresh is a Software Engineer and is currently a part of the WSO2 Identity Server team. He develops various security implementations to the WSO2 middleware stack including the WSO2 Identity Server, WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus and WSO2 Application Server. He has also participated in various customer projects as a WSO2 consultant.
Viraj currently works as a Software Engineer on the WSO2 Developer Studio team and specially focuses on the ESB Graphical Editor component. He has conducted a webinar on the WSO2 Developer Studio. He has also been involved in the development of a ‘Data Broker’ system and has participated in many QSPs for WSO2.
Mohan is a Software Engineer at WSO2. He is in the Complex Event Processor (CEP) team and is currently working specifically on Big-Data products. He has worked on re-writing of the CEP and real-time event processing. He has also participated in WSO2 QuickStart Programs mainly focusing on the CEP. He won the “Merit Award” in the NBQSA 2012 competition and his research paper was approved for publication in the ICTer 2012 Conference in Sri Lanka. Mohan has also been a speaker in two research conferences – ICTer & ICCSE.
